Shift Happens is more than an event... it is a celebration of the automotive spirit.
It is where people who live and breathe cars come together to share their passion, exchange ideas, and experience the culture that drives this community forward.
We want to create a place where like-minded people come together, share their experiences, and build a community that supports one another – on and off the road.

The idea behind the name
A shift does not only happen in the gearbox. It happens in life.
That is why it is called «Shift Happens». The event is one day a year — the community is all the rest.
Connect
This is where you meet the people you otherwise only pass on the road. After that a wave is no longer a wave — it is a greeting to someone you know.
Stay in touch
The community does not stop when the event ends. It carries on — on drives, in workshops, in conversations at the petrol station.
Be there for each other
And when a shift happens in life that is not a good one, that is exactly what makes the difference: you are not standing there alone.

Enthusiasm for cars starts early. That is why we built a dedicated track for our smallest guests aged 18 to 36 months — a safe space where they can enjoy the day just as much as their parents do.

Who is behind it
«Shift Happens» is run by three people from the Bernese Oberland — alongside day jobs and families, together with a lot of volunteers. It started with one question: why is there no meet where the people matter as much as the cars?
Deliberately kept calm: no noise, no showing off, no competition. A good day — and a network that keeps going.
